String of Pearls | Senecio Rowleyanus | 3" pot
String of Pearls is a popular but challenging houseplant to grow! The gorgeous round leaves store water, which is why it is necessary to only water when the 'pearls' start to deflate.
This plant likes bright direct sunlight, but will thrive in bright indirect light too as long as watering is adjusted. It is important to let this plant dry out thoroughly between watering and watch for signs that the plant is beginning to be dehydrated. This can be anywhere from one to several weeks, depending on the heat and airflow in the location.
*Do not repot for several years, or if you repot, maintain this small pot size. String of Pearls benefits from being slightly rootbound because it ensures there are no pockets of wet soil.
